Whenever I think of the Garden of Eden, Adam, Eve, and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Bad, the image of a red apple enters, uncontrollably, my mind. A red apple, so associated with the narrative of the Garden of Eden, one accepts, without question, that it is the fruit, and the story encircles it and it’s mystical properties. However, to my surprise, upon reading the narrative, there is no mention of a red apple, nor any apple for that matter. So what is this fruit? Does it matter?
